# Offline and air-gapped constraints

> Supported behavior without public network access

An air-gapped deployment can use only images, analyzers, toolchains, model
weights/endpoints, identity metadata, and update artifacts present inside the
approved boundary.

Without explicitly permitted egress, the following do not work:

* hosted Azure OpenAI or Vertex AI;
* GitHub.com, GitLab.com, Azure DevOps, Slack, Teams, Jira Cloud, Linear, or
  Confluence Cloud;
* WorkOS hosted authentication and directory sync;
* Marketplace entitlement checks and automated release updates.

Offline licenses continue to verify locally. Mirror signed images, SBOMs,
provenance, checksums, analyzer databases, and release notes through the
customer's controlled import process. Use an approved internal model endpoint
only when its API and governance route are supported.

Veridical does not promise hosted-model capability in a network that cannot
reach the provider.
